Gordon Lee Genskow, M.D., passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, at the age of 71, in the loving care of his family at Celia’s home in Medford, Oregon.

Born November 7, 1954, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Gordon was raised by his parents, Rolland and Thelma Genskow. He attended Lewis & Clark College and earned his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1981. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Youngstown Hospital Association in Youngstown, Ohio.

Dr. Genskow practiced anesthesia for more than 30 years, first in Colorado and later in Southern Oregon, including Grants Pass, Ashland Hospital and Surgery Center, and the Surgery Center of Southern Oregon. He was well respected by colleagues for his professionalism and will be remembered for his kindness, patience, and genuine care for others.

Gordon enjoyed playing golf, traveling, following basketball and football, listening to music, attending concerts, spending time at the coast, and vacationing in Palm Springs. He was also a loyal friend and a genuinely good man who will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; his sisters and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
