Obituary

Mark Baker Allen, 76, went to be with the “Big Man” on October 8th, 2026. Mark was born on October 23rd, 1949, in Salina, Utah to Paul & Ella Allen. Sharing the house with his many siblings, he grew up working in the mines with his father and learning various life and trade skills he would later bless so many with.

A skilled carpenter and craftsman, Mark had a remarkable ability to create something strong, beautiful and lasting with his own two hands and time. He took pride in a job completed and done well. His craftsmanship was more than a skill; it was a reflection of the patience, determination, and grit he brought to each thing he did.

Of all the things he built throughout his lifetime, nothing meant more than the family he loved.

As a husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Mark leaves behind a lifetime of memories. He is survived by his loving wife Vonda, five sons: Shane, Jason, Brandon, Carson and Rhett and three daughters: Autumn, Courtney and Samantha- and the countless grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his jokes, lessons taught, “twinkle toes” laughter, and the many ways he made a difference by his steady presence in the lives of those around him.

His absence will be felt in the everyday moments-in family gatherings, the familiar places, the Man Cave, in his beloved garden, tending to all the birds, and the many little things that will always remind us of him.

The tools in the workshop may be quiet, but the work of his hands and the love he leaves behind will never be forgotten. We are so grateful for the years we were given and can’t wait for the day we get to be together again with our “best friend” in Heaven.
